Iconic images of 1960's American culture

In 2007, a collaboration was formed with Rowland Scherman, Bob Korn Imaging, Inc. and the owners of Artworks! Gallery-all from Orleans, Massachusetts.
The Rowland Scherman Project, LLC. was established to archive, digitally scan and print for exhibition, forty plus years of Mr. Scherman's life work.
To date approximately 160 photos have been masterfully printed, framed and exhibited in several venues in New England and New York City.
As this work progressed it became clear that the volume of images is so great that it would be almost impossible to print and frame for display everything in the collection.
Thus, the concept of a multi-media event utilizing digital picture frames, flat screen monitors, and audio tracks to supplement the actual framed prints evolved. The listener will hear a narrative about the circumstances relevant to the photos, clips of speeches, and Mr. Scherman's voice providing entertaining and educational anecdotes. The current show includes artifacts such as the Grammy Award Mr. Scherman won for his photo used on the "Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits" album cover, original negatives and contact sheets, digital contact sheets, Life magazines and even some of the earlier cameras he used.

"Snaps!" is on display at Artworks! 57 rte. 6A, Orleans, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. It is a work in progress, upon completion there will be a nominal admission fee of $5.00 for those who wish to experience the entire multi-media event. Currently the photos and artifacts may be viewed at no charge. The exhibit has been designed to travel, with the hope of reaching as many people as possible in venues including galleries, universities, schools, theaters, etc. The exhibit can be leased for special events.
